Slishy (Tayisha Broom) is an emerging artist based in the Perth Hills of Western Australia. She has lately been inspired by her relationship with the natural world, human and nonhuman connection, and the media and literature she enjoys.
Her works speak of love, pain, hope, and the animality that exists within all of us. Beneath our detachment, urbanisation, and visions of human grandiosity, there is a small, soft thing that beats in time with the earth.
